I’m super thrilled to show off this project for Grind & Slice. They came to me asking for a full visual identity for their mobile pizza truck experience catering for skateboarders and BMXers. Finding local hotspots around the country, Grind & Slice redefines what it means to grab a slice on the go, marketing themselves to the thrill-seekers who dominate recreational areas and skateparks.
I started by designing a logo that’s as adaptable as it is bold. I’ll admit, thinking of a logo that would bring extreme sports and Italian cuisine together was trickier than I first thought, but I had the idea of mashing together a pepperoni pizza and the truck and wheels off a skateboard. With rough shading and edgy outlines, the visual identity captures the raw energy of the 2000s, echoing the spirit of adventure that the brand was born from. Whether it’s plastered on the side of a truck, printed on pizza boxes, or stitched onto clothing apparel, the Grind & Slice logo is a symbol of rebellion against the ordinary.
With this new identity, Grind & Slice have the opportunity to fuel those looking to push boundaries, one slice at a time.
